The shelves highlight the power and confidence both heroes have with a design that depicts the female characters carrying the weight of the books. The [shelving unites](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/qurv) are [freestanding](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/folding-shelf) and are designed to make it look as though the superheroes are keeping the books in place with their otherworldly strength. The shelves are made from black metal sheets that is thinly concealed underneath the weight of the books. The shelves come with either Wonder Woman or Super Girl cut out from the same metal as a silhouette holding the weight of the books. The character is shown supporting the weight from the side of the shelf or from the base. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.5/10 - Popularity: 33% | Activity: 33% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Female Empowerment Homeware:** The design of homeware products celebrate and empower women. - **Superhero Home Decor:** Superhero and comic book characters are inspiring the design of household items. - **Metal Shelving Solutions:** The use of metal sheets for shelves is becoming a popular design trend. ### Where This Applies - **Interior Design:** There is a growing demand for homeware products that celebrate diversity and showcase unique design. - **Superhero Merchandise:** The popularity of superhero merch extends beyond clothing and accessories and into household items. - **Metal Manufacturing:** Innovations in metal fabrication can lead to unique and customizable design options for home decor. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sculptural Bookshelves Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sculptural-bookshelf.md) - [Abstract Jigsaw-Like Shelving](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spectator-shelf.md) - [Superhero-Themed Headphone Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/3dprinted-headphone-stands.md) - [Sliding Wintery Landscape Bookshelves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/manhwabang-bookshelf.md) - [Dynamic Geometric Bookshelves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cheft.md) - [Empowering Superhero-Inspired Shapewear](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/inner-armour.md) - [Versatile Book Displays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/penguin-x-moebe-book-stand.md) - [Landscape-Inspired Bookends](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/waves-and-sun-bookends.md) - [Dynamic Architecturally Strong Bookshelves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dogma.md)
