# Disguised Compact Printers The Book Printer is Small Enough to Fit in Your Book Bag By Francis Tiangson | Published 2011-02-17 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/book-printer References: [yankodesign](http://www.yankodesign.com/2011/02/16/printed-by-a-book) & [sadi.net](http://sadi.net/) The Book Printer is a condensed printer that you could pretty much carry around with you wherever you went. When packed up, this compact printer is designed to resemble a hardcover book, hence the name Book Printer. I feel like this would help so many students out -- I've found myself running late to class because I had to wait in line at the library just to print out an assignment. With the Book Printer I could do all the printing in the classroom, which would have saved me *a lot* of deducted late marks. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.8/10 - Popularity: 6% | Activity: 10% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Disguised Printers:** The trend of creating compact printers designed to look like everyday objects allows for more discreet and convenient printing options. - **Personal Portable Printers:** The trend of creating small and lightweight printers allows for more on-the-go printing options. - **Wireless Printing:** The trend of creating printers that connect wirelessly to devices eliminates the need for cables and allows for more flexibility in printing locations. ### Who This Affects Most - **Office Supplies:** The office supplies industry can benefit from producing compact and portable printers for professionals on-the-go. - **Education:** The education industry can benefit from creating more discreet and convenient printing options for students. - **Travel:** The travel industry can benefit from producing lightweight and portable printers for travelers to use on-the-go. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Paper Waste Reduction Printers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/handheld-printer-concept.md) - [Industrial Handheld Printer Units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/scribe-handheld-printer.md) - [Subtle Smartphone-Friendly Printers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/samsung-image-box.md) - [Freestyle Desktop Printers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dual-printer-device.md) - [Paper-Saving Printer Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/roller-jet-printer.md) - [Palm-Sized 3D Printers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/open-source-3d-printer.md) - [Pocket-Sized Smartphone Printers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mobile-instant-photo-printer.md) - [Portable Selfie Printer Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/selphy-qx20.md) - [Advanced Tap-to-Print Printers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/huawei-pixlab-x1.md)
