Salazar transformed books into eye-popping literature -- literally. With so many [old books](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/4442-book) untouched, he decided that it was time to give them new life by turning them into [works of art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/folded-echoes). The theme behind each piece is Salazar invoking encouragement and inspiration which truly shows with words such as 'Love' and 'Faith.' Book Origami is a must-see for art lovers and bookworms. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.9/10 - Popularity: 85% | Activity: 83% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Book Art:** Opportunity to create unique and visually intriguing art pieces from old books. - **Upcycled Literature:** Transforming unused books into artistic masterpieces, providing sustainability and creativity. - **Interactive Sculptures:** Combining literature and visual art to create interactive and engaging sculptures. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Art and Design:** Incorporating book origami as a new form of artistic expression and attracting a niche market. - **Home Decor:** Utilizing book origami sculptures as unique home decor items, appealing to design-conscious consumers. - **Education and Libraries:** Introducing book origami as an educational tool and featuring it in libraries to enhance the reading experience. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Origami-Inspired Ceramics](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/origami-series.md) - [Stunning Origami Portraits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/origami-portaits.md) - [Detailed Ceramic Book Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/biblio-bloom.md) - [Sculptural Paper Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fragmenti.md) - [Origami-Inspired Porcelain Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/saori-matsushita.md) - [Revolving Bright Kinetic Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/library-of-light.md) - [Sculptural Bookshelves Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sculptural-bookshelf.md) - [Book-Shaped Transparent Bookmarks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/transparent-bookmark.md) - [Paper-Made Mosaic Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/real-life-architecture-exhibition.md)
