Featuring cascading water acting like a flipping page, the fountain is imaginative and beautiful. With a solid wood base, the line of water flips back and forth as a page would. As a monument to traditional books and classic literature, the fascinating fountain is truly an outstanding fountain. In a world where the physical book has been challenged by [the e-book](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dualscreen-ereader), it's interesting to see it fighting back. While many will (hopefully) never lose the ability to buy a [beautiful book with real pages](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/4442-book), the tribute is definitely meant to encourage literacy rather than a specific type of reading. With 1/3rd of American high school grads never picking up a book again for the rest of their lives, literacy and books are definitely something to be encouraged. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.1/10 - Popularity: 52% | Activity: 64% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Water-based Art Installations:** Opportunity for creating visually captivating art installations using water as a dynamic element. - **Monumental Tributes:** Potential for creating stunning monuments that celebrate and preserve traditional forms of media and culture. - **Promoting Literacy:** Disruptive innovation opportunity to develop creative initiatives that encourage reading and literacy in the digital age. ### Where This Applies - **Art and Design:** Potential for artists and designers to explore water-based installations as a form of expression. - **Tourism and Hospitality:** Opportunity for incorporating monumental book tributes as tourist attractions to engage visitors. - **Education and Publishing:** Innovative approaches can be taken to promote literacy and reading among students and the general public. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Stone-Stacked Dynamic Fountains](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vondel-fountain.md) - [Modern Civic-Inspired Fountains](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loop-fountain.md) - [Modern Interior Water Fountains](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bower-studios-pivot-fountain-limited-edition.md) - [Water-Activated Book Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dehydrating-book.md) - [Mesmerizing Fluid Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flow-fountain.md) - [Vibrant Public London Fountains](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/neon-1.md) - [Detailed Ceramic Book Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/biblio-bloom.md) - [Book-Inspired Public Benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sit-down-to-read.md) - [Unique Book-Inspired Fans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/book-shaped-fans.md)
