# Chic Wireframe Fireplaces Boo by Martin Kallin Displays the Flames Fashionably By Meghan Young | Published 2013-09-25 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/boo-by-martin-kallin References: [contemporist](http://www.contemporist.com/2013/09/14/boo-by-martin-kallin-for-skargaarden/) & [skargaarden](http://skargaarden.com/) More often than not, a bonfire is so wildly beautiful that it doesn't matter what it is contained in for people to enjoy it; Boo by Martin Kallin proves otherwise, however. In place of the typical stone perimeter, this bonfire rages in a chic [wireframe structure](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/barred-collection) that really puts the fiery flames on display. Created for manufacturer [Skargaarden](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/scandinavian-design-principles), Boo by Martin Kallin can be positioned in two different ways depending on the size of the fire desired. According to Kallin, "The idea for Boo originally came from a study of the basic form. I wanted to delimitate it, yet at the same time make it functional and adjustable. The shape is very strict but the result is playful." ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.2/10 - Popularity: 79% | Activity: 40% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Wireframe Fireplaces:** Designing fireplaces with a chic wireframe structure provides an opportunity for innovative displays of fiery flames. - **Adjustable Bonfires:** Creating bonfires with adjustable positions allows for flexibility in fire size and functionality. - **Functional Sculptural Designs:** Incorporating functional and adjustable shapes in design can lead to playful and visually striking results. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Outdoor Furniture:** The outdoor furniture industry can benefit from incorporating wireframe fireplaces as aesthetically pleasing and functional pieces for outdoor spaces. - **Home Decor:** Home decor companies can seize the opportunity to offer adjustable bonfires as unique and captivating centrepieces for indoor and outdoor living spaces. - **Art and Sculpture:** The art and sculpture industry can explore the creation of functional and adjustable sculptural designs that serve both aesthetic and practical purposes. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Cooking-Friendly Outdoor Fireplaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/regg-surprise.md) - [Slick Modern Holographic Fireplaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/holographic-fireplace.md) - [Mixed-Material Tabletop Fireplaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brasscene-harmony-flame-fireplace.md) - [Eco-Friendly Bioethanol Fireplaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glammfire-contour.md) - [Convenient Personal Fireplaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/personal-fireplace1.md) - [Flame-Resembling Outdoor Heaters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bonflame.md) - [Ultra-Durable Portable Fire Pits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flamurs-kaleidoscope.md) - [Portable Cylindrical Fireplaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ecosmart-fire-pillar-3t.md) - [Ultra-Stylish Fireplace Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fireplace-accessories.md)
