The plant, which is native only to Northern California, has been packaged in its seedling form by Portland, Oregon-based Jason Watkins in order to introduce it into other regions. Although some people might think fostering one a daunting task, others will love the challenge. Through the Giant Sequoias Bonsai Tree Kit, a deeper appreciation of nature will be gained. Cool Hunting writes, "The handmade germanation greenhouse is composed of recyclable plastic and includes seeds, a soil pellet, drainage stones, fertilizer, instructions and more. All you need to cultivate your micro-forest is water and sunlight." Of course, research beforehand is still recommended since growing the trees may prove difficult in some areas. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.6/10 - Popularity: 56% | Activity: 74% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Indoor Planting Kits:** Businesses can create more indoor planting kits that make it easy for people to grow plants at home. - **Eco-friendly Packaging:** Businesses can switch to eco-friendly packaging materials, like recyclable plastic, to package their products. - **Nature Education:** Businesses can create products that help people learn about nature and appreciate it more, like the Giant Sequoias Bonsai Tree kit does. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Home Gardening:** Home gardening businesses can create more kits that make it easier for people to grow plants at home, like the Giant Sequoias Bonsai Tree kit. - **Eco-friendly Packaging:** Packaging businesses can switch to eco-friendly materials, like recyclable plastic, to package products like the Giant Sequoias Bonsai Tree kit does. - **Nature Education:** Education businesses can create products that help people learn about nature and appreciate it more, like the Giant Sequoias Bonsai Tree kit does. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Plush Plant-Shaped Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/amuseable-bonsai-tree.md) - [Bonsai Building Block Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-botanicals-set.md) - [DIY Plant Decor Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/make-it-yourself-plant-stand.md) - [Alphabet DIY Gardening Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/succulent-letter-diy-kit.md) - [Plant Propagation Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/propagation-starter-set.md) - [STEM Gardening Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/organic-terrarium-kids-grow-kit.md) - [Dinosaur-Inspired Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chiasaurus-rex-planter.md) - [Farm-Sourced Christmas Trees](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fraser-fir-christmas-tree.md) - [Beginners Vegetable Garden Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gourmet-garden.md)
