The existing home was transformed with new branches added onto the slope, turning the entire structure to face the views of the Bass Strait and Port Phillip Bay. The exterior was made with a [copped skin](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sirius-building) to cover the entire surface area, creating a crisp line of definition. All of the main living areas in the home are paired with oversized windows to allow tons of natural light to flow seamlessly through the home. With its [curved walls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cereus-house) and hand-made furniture, the Boneo Country House has a water-like aesthetic that makes it seem as though it is freely flowing. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.2/10 - Popularity: 46% | Activity: 13% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Luxury Residential Renovations:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in reimagining and transforming existing homes into modern, luxurious residences. - **Copper Exterior Design:** Disruptive innovation potential in using copper as a skin material for architectural purposes, creating a distinct and crisp aesthetic. - **Natural Light Integration:** Innovative opportunities to seamlessly incorporate oversized windows in residential designs for abundant natural light. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Architectural Services:** The architectural industry can leverage disruptive innovations in luxury residential renovations, copper exterior design, and natural light integration to offer unique and modern solutions to clients. - **Construction Materials:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in developing and supplying copper-based materials for use in exterior architectural designs. - **Furniture Design and Manufacturing:** Manufacturers can explore the water-like aesthetic showcased in the Boneo Country House for disruptive innovation in creating hand-made furniture with curved forms and unique materials. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Clay Ridge Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/birdwood-house.md) - [Cutout Roof Cement-Clad Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/edition-office.md) - [Organic Coastal Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diachok-architects.md) - [Bushfire-Resistant Contemporary Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ironbark-house.md) - [Copper-Accented Apartment Blocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fenwick-st.md) - [Spacially Contrasting Home Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/barwon-heads-house.md) - [Meadow-Overlooking Sleek Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/studioac-1.md) - [Stone-Finished Coastal Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/matopos.md) - [Sleek Garden-Edge Renovations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/waverley-house.md)
