The furniture piece is characterized by its solid bench design that's paired with a [cork upper for the seat area](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-cork-seating), which offers both style and comfort. The bench will open to reveal a [dual-sided storage space](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/berto-hidden-secrets) that's perfect for stowing essentials like a pair of shoes or books. This could also function as a way to transform the bench into [two seating sections for a couple](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/immaterial-0001) to use. The conceptual 'Bond' stool system highlights a distinctly minimalist design that calls to mind both Japanese and Scandinavian aesthetics. The natural materials used for the bench makes it easy to incorporate into any space. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.2/10 - Popularity: 82% | Activity: 32% | Freshness: 12% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Dual-sided Storage:** Furniture designs that incorporate hidden storage solutions. - **Minimalist Design:** Products with clean lines and muted colors for a simple but stylish aesthetic. - **Multi-functional Furniture:** Furniture that serves more than one purpose, optimizing space in smaller apartments or homes. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture:** Innovative furniture design companies could create similar multi-functional products with hidden storage compartments. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can incorporate minimalist and multi-functional furniture for clients in small urban spaces. - **Home Organization:** Home organizing companies can integrate the multifunctional and dual-sided storage trends in their solutions and products. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Dual-Function Seating Shelves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rubik-stool.md) - [Built-In Storage Cozy Couches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cask-sofa.md) - [Intuitive Entryway Seats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-front-stool.md) - [Leather Strap Benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stacked-bench.md) - [Mobile Seat-Storage Units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/next-mobile-unit.md) - [Striking Storage-Friendly Poufs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/berliner-pouf.md) - [Entryway Deodorizing Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/comodo.md) - [Asymmetrical Storage Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crossbred-side-table.md) - [Colorful Dual-Purpose Stool Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/s1-stool.md)
