# Indie Music Parodies 'One Can Hear the Pain' is Presented in the Voices of Bon Joviver By Harris Jay Rosenberg Alterman | Published 2012-01-25 | Updated 2012-01-29 | Pop Culture Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bon-joviver References: [blameitonthevoices](http://www.blameitonthevoices.com/2012/01/bon-joviver.html) & [youtube](http://www.youtube.com/user/miromosci?feature=watch) If you crossed a legendary 80s rock band with a bearded man who plays indie folk then you would get Bon Joviver. This [mash-up band](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mashapp-music) is a combination of Bon Iver and Bon Jovi and was created by Miracles of Modern Science. Bon Iver is known for his voice that reflects his heavy emotions so that when one listens, they can hear his pain. He is also known for his [indie harmonies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/whole-new-sound), which are perfectly in tune, yet drag out adding an improvisational touch. When Bon Joviver was created, the lyrics of You Give Love A Bad Name fit like a glove with Bon Iver's style and tone, making it seem like a song he would write. This video is only one minutes's worth of Bon Joviver and it's too bad because it's fantastic to listen to. Hopefully they will release a whole song. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.1/10 - Popularity: 9% | Activity: 45% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Pop Culture](https://www.trendhunter.com/popculture) > [Internet](https://www.trendhunter.com/internet) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Indie-folk Mash-up Bands:** Creating mash-up bands that combine different music genres, such as indie and folk, can offer unique and innovative sound experiences for music enthusiasts. - **Emotional Vocal Performances:** Exploring artists with emotionally-driven voices, like Bon Iver, opens up opportunities to connect with listeners on a deeper and more relatable level. - **Improvisational Harmonies:** Incorporating improvisational elements into harmonies, similar to Bon Iver's style, can add a fresh and unexpected twist to songs and captivate audiences. ### Who This Affects Most - **Music Entertainment:** The music industry can embrace and support the rise of indie-folk mash-up bands, providing platforms and opportunities for them to reach wider audiences. - **Streaming Services:** Streaming platforms can curate playlists and recommend emotional vocal performances to cater to listeners seeking meaningful and introspective music experiences. - **Music Production:** Music producers can experiment with incorporating improvisational harmonies into various musical genres, injecting innovation and spontaneity into the creative process. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [AI Music Creators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jamboss.md) - [Catchy Basked Pasta Ads](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/noodles-cos-chicken-parmesan.md) - [Real-Time Music Collaboration](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jammin.md) - [Re-Imagined Music Sharing Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jamselect.md) - [Music-Inspired Avatar Campaigns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/see-yourself-in-sound.md) - [AI-Human Music Albums](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eleven-album.md) - [Pancake House Music Videos](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/working-for-the-weekend.md) - [Music Mashups Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mashapp-music.md) - [Reimagined Pop-Culture Music Genres](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/whole-new-sound.md)
