It is made for himself and his wife Beatriz Dubois -- the home is located on the Carrer de Bolívar around a series of buildings that were built in various eras. To combat the chaotic environment, his practice Gr-os works with local architects Mercè and Teresa Rumeu to create a tranquil home playing with light and space. Gurrea Rumeu tells Dezeen about navigating the light in the space, stating "Despite its complicated urban setting, surrounded by taller buildings and heavy traffic, the interior atmosphere is surprisingly peaceful. The position and scale of openings frames views and curates intimacy and light."
