# Card-Dealing Phone Apps The Bold Poker App Makes Stacking Decks in Texas Hold’Em Quite Diffi By Elise Ying-Hei Ho | Published 2012-12-12 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bold-poker-app References: [uncrate](http://uncrate.com/stuff/bold-poker/) & [boldpokerapp](http://boldpokerapp.com/) Almost every time a [card game](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shot-callers) is played, there is always questioning and suspicion that floats around as to whether the dealer is actually shuffling properly, but the Bold Poker app eliminates those cheating suspicions by dealing for players. Connected via [iPhones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tennis-blackbox) and tablets, the Bold Poker app runs entirely electronically, aside from the betting part. Players are connected to the app through the tablet in which the cards for Texas Hold’em are dealt directly to the cell phones. Players bet using real chips and the Flop is then displayed on the tablet. A special chip is also displayed on the tablet, which can be dragged at will to indicate who is the dealer. To avoid any type of unwanted tension between a friendly game, it’s probably best to leave it to the unbiased computers to do the dealing. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.5/10 - Popularity: 40% | Activity: 56% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Mobile](https://www.trendhunter.com/mobile) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Electronic Card Dealing:** The use of phone apps to deal cards electronically is a growing trend that is disrupting the traditional way of dealing with cards in many games. - **Seamless Connectivity:** The use of connected iPhones and tablets seamlessly connects players and eliminates the need for physical cards and dealers. - **Elimination of Cheating Suspicions:** Apps like Bold Poker remove the potential for cheating and create a more fair and transparent playing environment. ### Where This Applies - **Gaming Industry:** The gaming industry, including casinos, can utilize electronic card dealing apps to enhance the overall gaming experience and prevent cheating. - **Mobile App Development Industry:** The development of mobile apps for electronic card dealing presents an opportunity for tech companies to tap into a new and growing market. - **Hospitality Industry:** Hotels and resorts can introduce phone apps like Bold Poker to provide guests with new and exciting entertainment options. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Phone-Inspired Card Games](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/game-of-phones-1.md) - [Digital Card Rule Hubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cardrules.md) - [Card Game Enhancers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/robeeto.md) - [Card Game Finders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cardmaster.md) - [Virtual Table Top Games](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tinytable.md) - [Nostalgic Trading Card Games](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pocket-2.md) - [Automatic Card Shufflers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ornate-card-shuffler.md) - [Re-Imagined Adult Party Games](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fluttr-spin-the-bottle.md) - [Advanced Mobile Card-Collecting Games](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mtg-arena.md)
