The highlight of this lens and what makes it stand out compared to its predecessor is the fact that bokeh effects can be adjusted using a control ring on top of the lens. This allows for the distance between lens elements to be adjusted, in order to manipulate the strength of the swirly effects. Rings at the '1' mark feature a very subtle swirly bokeh, while the '7' mark offers much more in-your-face swirls. [Bokeh photography](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lens-announcements) is often quite challenging to master. For photographers who are fans of this wonderful art form, the New Petzval 59 Bokeh Control Art Lens is an excellent option. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.5/10 - Popularity: 51% | Activity: 77% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Photography](https://www.trendhunter.com/photography) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Bokeh Photography:** Opportunities for development of lenses that allow for more control over bokeh effects. - **Adjustable Camera Lenses:** Potential for lenses that allow photographers to adjust the distance between lens elements and manipulate the strength of swirly effects. - **Artistic Camera Lenses:** Increasing demand for lenses that allow photographers to capture unique and artistic effects. ### Who This Affects Most - **Photography Equipment Industry:** Opportunities for companies to develop and market new and innovative camera lenses to photographers. - **Artistic and Creative Industries:** Potential for artistic and creative professionals to experiment with the Petzval 59 Bokeh Control Art Lens and create unique and eye-catching visual effects. - **Technology Industry:** Advancements in camera lens technology can lead to new and innovative products for a wide variety of industries and applications. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [3D Content-Capturing Camera Lenses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/imaging-camera-lens.md) - [Sleek Analog Film Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lomoapparat.md) - [Detachable Mobile Camera Lenses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mobile-camera-lens.md) - [Performance-Driven Speedy Camera Lenses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/leica-cameras.md) - [Multi-Coated Glass Lens Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lomo-instant-wide-glass.md) - [Pro-Grade Aftermarket Smartphone Lenses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sandmarc-telephoto-6x.md) - [Spec-Driven Film Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lomography-lomo-mca.md) - [Long-Range Autofucus Lenses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sniper-series-f1-2.md) - [Pro-Approved Smartphone Lenses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moment-tseries-mobile-lenses.md)
