The measuring cup is imagined with a [silicone construction](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/elio) that doesn't reveal its function at first glance, but instead lays flat to support being easily stowed between uses. The cup can be opened for use when needed and works with a [clip that can be slid](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/way-ruler) to the desired measurement to adjust the amount of space inside for ingredients. This functionality eliminates the need for cumbersome [measuring cup sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/enso-tape) that often feature four or more pieces. The conceptual 'Boi' measuring cup is imagined in a bright orange color to help it stay easily identifiable in the kitchen for quick measurements as required. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.9/10 - Popularity: 96% | Activity: 87% | Freshness: 23% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Kitchen](https://www.trendhunter.com/kitchen) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Malleable Kitchen Tools:** Innovating on traditional kitchen gadgets by introducing flexible and adaptive designs like the 'Boi' measuring cup. - **Multi-functional Cooking Utensils:** Blending versatility and practicality in kitchen equipment by creating items that serve multiple purposes, such as a single-piece measuring cup like 'Boi'. - **Color-coded Culinary Accessories:** Revolutionizing kitchen organization with brightly colored tools like the orange 'Boi' measuring cup for easy and quick visual identification. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Kitchenware Manufacturing:** Exploring new material innovations and design concepts in the production of kitchen tools, potentially leading to enhanced user experience and efficiency. - **Home Goods Retail:** Introducing innovative and space-saving kitchen gadgets like the 'Boi' measuring cup to cater to modern consumer needs for convenience and practicality in home cooking. - **Product Design:** Pushing boundaries in product design by creating unconventional yet functional culinary accessories such as the malleable 'Boi' measuring cup, sparking creativity and consumer interest. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Multi-Functional Kitchen Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multifunctional-kitchen-tools.md) - [Self-Cleaning Measuring Cups](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dreamfarms.md) - [Instant Noodle-Inspired Measuring Cups](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nissin-measuring-cup.md) - [Instant Noodle Measuring Cups](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nissin-cup-noodle-measuring-cup.md) - [Accordion-Style Coffee Cups](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/accordion-paper-cup.md) - [Malleable Construction Food Containers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/delione-flexn-fresh-container.md) - [Reusable Folding Storage Plates](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/calzone-tableware.md) - [Accessible Smart Cups](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-cup-1.md) - [Collapsible Folding Carrier Cups](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/origami-cup.md)
