# Draping Dressed Seating The Bohemian Sofa by Castello Lagravinese for Busnelli By Meghan Young | Published 2010-04-29 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bohemian-sofa References: [contemporist](http://www.contemporist.com/2010/04/28/the-bohemien-sofa-by-castello-lagravinese-for-busnelli/) & [busnelli.it](http://www.busnelli.it/) Dressed to impress, the Bohemian Sofa is certainly looking to turn heads. Although a "modern interpretation of traditional styles," according to Contemporist.com, I simply see seating dressed to the nines. Designed by Italian architect Castello Lagravinese for furniture manufacturer Busnelli, the Bohemian Sofa does exude a sense of freedom despite its formal appearance. Available in various colors as well as single seat or tri-seat options, it will certainly add flair to any living space. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.7/10 - Popularity: 14% | Activity: 28% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Bohemian Seating:** The trend towards Bohemian-inspired seating can disrupt the traditional furniture market by providing unique and unconventional options for consumers. - **Modern-traditional Fusion:** The fusion of modern and traditional styles, seen in designs like the Bohemian Sofa, offers opportunities for innovation in creating new and exciting furniture pieces. - **Customizable Sofas:** Customizable sofas, like the Bohemian Sofa with its various color and seating options, are a growing trend that allows for more personalized and unique furniture choices for consumers. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Furniture manufacturers can explore the Bohemian Seating trend and create new product lines that cater to unconventional tastes. - **Interior Design:** The Bohemian Seating trend offers interior designers the opportunity to incorporate unique and unconventional furniture pieces into their designs. - **Home Decor Retail:** The trend towards Modern-Traditional Fusion and Customizable Sofas presents a disruptive opportunity for home decor retailers to offer more personalized and unique furniture options to consumers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Oversized Polished Brass Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/boca-do-lobo-lapiaz.md) - [Repetitive Curvaceous Seating Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/colle-sofa.md) - [Modular Draped Ruched Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ripple-sofa.md) - [Laidback Modular Sofa Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/natuzzi-bao.md) - [Smart Bulbous Seating Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/buffo.md) - [Decadent Lounge Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/poet-sofa.md) - [Systematic Seating Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hybla-seating-system.md) - [Parka Jacket-Inspired Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/parka-sofa.md) - [Sculptural Lounge Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/biboni-sofa.md)
