# Lozenge-Shaped Table Lamps Cesar Núñez Designs the Folded BO Lamp with Bandido Studio By Amy Duong | Published 2018-03-31 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bo-lamp References: [dezeen](https://www.dezeen.com/2018/03/20/bo-lamp-bandido-studio-cesar-nunez-design-mexico/) & [bandidostudio](https://www.bandidostudio.com/home-en) Designer Cesar Núñez joins forces with Mexico-based design label Bandido Studio in creating the unique BO Lamp. The illuminating piece takes on the shape of a lozenge with a creased fold down the middle. The BO Lamp is specifically designed so that the creased section of the piece is the main point of light, emitting a softened glow. Alejandro Campos and Joel Rojas from Bandido Studios express that the lamp generates a warm light through the V-shaped metal sheet and is influenced by an iterative process. This process is drawn from the way that nature transforms the movement of light in how it can reflect and become absorbed through different elements of nature itself. The BO Lamp's exterior boasts a matte coat finishing and has touch activated functions through a hidden sensor within the base. The intensity of the light can be altered according to the mood of the space as well. The lighting piece offers a choice of three colors -- Champagne White, Peach Rose, and Oxford Gray. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.9/10 - Popularity: 60% | Activity: 50% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Folded Table Lamps:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Designing foldable table lamps that offer unique and adjustable lighting options. - **Lozenge-shaped Lighting:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Creating lighting fixtures with innovative shapes and designs that provide decorative and functional lighting solutions. - **Nature-inspired Lighting:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Incorporating natural elements and the movement of light into lighting design to create unique and visually appealing pieces. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Interior Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Introducing innovative lighting pieces into interior design projects to enhance the ambiance of spaces. - **Home Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Offering consumers unique and customizable lighting options to elevate their home decor and create personalized spaces. - **Lighting Manufacturing:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Developing cutting-edge lighting technologies and materials to produce innovative and eco-friendly lighting fixtures. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sculptural Metal Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/polyshape.md) - [Structural Two-Part Lighting Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luno-lamp.md) - [Organically Shaped Shadow Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loops-lamp.md) - [Paper-Inspired Half-Folded Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/half-lamp.md) - [Flat-Pack Paper Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tsubomi.md) - [Perforated LED Table Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lume.md) - [Origami-Inspired Floor Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ori-lamp.md) - [Sculptural Geometry Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/polyshape-lamp.md) - [Portable Cubic Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/romb-mini-lamp.md)
