Featuring a shimmering blue and green exterior, the vehicle boasts an elongated hood, a series of yellow headlamps and a shortened rear section. This makes it look dramatically elegant, while also offering a powerful set of components under the hood. The vehicle is packed with a twin-turbo [V8](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bmw-concept-speedtop) engine that is capable of producing 650 horsepower, which would enable it to perform well in any urban area or on the race track. While the final version of the vehicle is likely to not be available for some time, the BMW M8 Gran Coupe concept will be shown off in showrooms in summer of next year. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.4/10 - Popularity: 71% | Activity: 54% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Autos](https://www.trendhunter.com/autos) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Northern-lights-inspired Design:** Opportunities for automakers to incorporate unique exterior designs into their vehicles inspired by natural phenomena like the Northern Lights. - **High-performance Luxury Vehicles:** Opportunities for luxury automakers to showcase high-performance features alongside uniquely designed exterior features. - **Electric Performance Vehicles:** Opportunities for automakers to create high-performance electric vehicles with unique exterior designs inspired by natural phenomena. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Automotive:** Opportunities for luxury automakers to incorporate unique exterior designs inspired by natural phenomena into their vehicles while also showcasing high-performance features. - **Luxury Vehicles:** Opportunities for luxury automotive brands to create unique and high-performance vehicles with inspired exterior designs and features to appeal to discerning customers. - **Electric Vehicles:** Opportunities for the electric vehicle industry to develop high-performance vehicles with unique exterior designs inspired by natural phenomena to appeal to performance vehicle enthusiasts. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Dynamic Precision Sports Cars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bmw-concept-skytop.md) - [Retro-Futuristic Headlight Automobiles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/neue-klasse.md) - [Grand Touring Automotive Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bmw-concept-speedtop.md) - [Lighting-Wrapped Concept Coupes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/concept-coupe.md) - [Color-Changing Concept Cars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bmw-i-vision-dee.md) - [Bedazzled Sequin Luxe Cars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mystique-allure.md) - [Automatic Color-Changing Vehicles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bmw-ix-flow.md) - [Sleek Premium EV Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vision-neue-klasse.md) - [Powerful Performance Hybrid SUVs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bmw-xm.md)
