The unit works by being positioned on a surface or mounted on the wall/ceiling to instantly start recording footage that can be easily accessed via the user's smartphone. Facial recognition technology will enable users to know who's in the home and helps to immediately identify an intruder, which could result in fewer false alarms. The Blurams Home Pro indoor security camera is also compatible for use with the [Amazon](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/switchbot-indoor-cam) Alexa voice assistant to let users maintain more control over the functionality of the unit. The camera can be paired with a microSD [card](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flex-by-google-pay) up to 129GB of storage or used with cloud-based storage to suit different preferences. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.9/10 - Popularity: 40% | Activity: 38% | Freshness: 9% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Smart Home Security:** The rise of voice assistant-connected cameras presents an opportunity for companies to create comprehensive smart home security solutions. - **Facial Recognition Technology:** The implementation of facial recognition technology in indoor security cameras opens up potential for use in law enforcement or public safety. - **Cloud-based Storage:** The trend towards cloud-based storage for security camera footage provides an opportunity for companies to explore innovative ways to secure and optimize data storage. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Home Security:** The home security industry has the potential to leverage voice-activated technology to create more intelligent and intuitive solutions. - **Law Enforcement:** The adoption of facial recognition technology in indoor security cameras could benefit the law enforcement industry in aiding investigations. - **Cloud Storage:** The cloud storage industry can capitalize on the trend towards storing security camera footage in the cloud by providing more secure and reliable storage options. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [AI-Powered Security Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wyze-cam-v3-pro.md) - [360-Degree Coverage Security Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blurams-ptz-duallens-outdoor-camera.md) - [AI-Powered Indoor Monitors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/reolink-e1-pro.md) - [AI Person-Tracking Security Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ezviz-c8w-pro-2k.md) - [AI-Powered Camera Alarm Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/camera-alarm-systems.md) - [AI-Powered Security Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ezviz-c6-security-camera.md) - [Wireless Pro-Grade Security Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wyze-battery-cam-pro.md) - [AI-Powered Security Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/utec-u-home-ulticam.md) - [Dual-Lens Outdoor Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/security-x1-pro.md)
