# Simplistic Superhero Drawings The Minimalist Crime-Fighters of BloOp are Basic and Badass By Harris Jay Rosenberg Alterman | Published 2012-01-26 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bloop References: [geeksaresexy.net](http://www.geeksaresexy.net/2011/11/09/minimalist-superhero-posters-gallery/) & [blo0p.deviantart](http://blo0p.deviantart.com/) These superhero depictions by BloOp are in their rawest form. Minimalist artwork has been popping up more and more and now, the [beloved comic book heroes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/marvel-and-disney) have joined their ranks. There is something about breaking down a superhero to the basics that really brings out true power. By becoming nothing more than a mask and a background color, these supermen show their raw essence. Many of the characters have also had their eyes reduced to nothing more than white slits, which gives the faces a mysterious aura -- almost as if their eyes are about to explode with power. The artwork of BloOp is simplistic, yet engaging. Bad guys beware because the [minimalist men](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimal-watch-concept) of super-strength and super-speed are on the hunt. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.8/10 - Popularity: 84% | Activity: 82% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Minimalist Superhero Art:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Exploring new ways to capture the essence of superheroes through minimalistic art styles. - **Raw Essence Depictions:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Creating artwork that breaks down complex characters to their core, highlighting their raw power and mysterious aura. - **Engaging Simplistic Art:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Developing captivating artwork that combines simplicity with intrigue, drawing attention and interest from audiences. ### Who This Affects Most - **Art and Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Exploring new artistic styles and approaches to redefine traditional artwork and engage with consumers in unique ways. - **Comic Books and Graphic Novels:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Experimenting with minimalist art styles to reimagine iconic superheroes in a visually striking and fresh manner. - **Entertainment and Media:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Incorporating minimalist artwork into various forms of entertainment and media to evoke emotion, intrigue, and capture audience attention. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Comic-Inspired Soda Cans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-heroes.md) - [Classic Superhero-Inspired Donuts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/krispy-kreme-hungry-for-heroes.md) - [Dark Superhero Water Bottles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/batman-x-air-up.md) - [Superhero-Themed Clogs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spiderman-x-crocs.md) - [Cartoonish City Bollards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/le-cyklop.md) - [Minimalist Supply Packaging](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/optimal-home.md) - [Stealthy Hero-Inspired Clogs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/batmobile-crocs.md) - [Quirky Cartoon-Like Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flash-furniture-series.md) - [Superhero-Themed DIY Art Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jim-lee-batman.md)
