[Bloomingdale's](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-barbie-movie) 'In Her Shoes' event aims to inspire and empower women through hosting a series of feminist panels that will focus on topics that surround modern womanhood.

Kicking off this series is a discussion about motherhood. Taking place at Bloomingdale's New York City flagship, this talk will serve as a safe space where women can discuss all things related to motherhood, including finding a balance between work and life at-home as well as other heavy-hitting topics.

This event came into fruition following a [partnership between designer Rebecca Minkoff](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/femininity-in-bloom) and a "[mom social network](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/milk-money)" called Peanut. The series launches on May 3rd and serves as the department stores efforts to demonstrate its core values.
