Blood is an incredibly important tool for saving lives, unfortunately as this blood bag concept by Ni-Hsin Chang shows, our current blood bags are in need of a redesign.

As Ni-Hsin Chang sees it, there a few minor but important flaws in the modern blood bag. The first issue is visibility, Chang's blood bags prominently displays the blood type in conjunction with a [color coding system](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drysee-bandages), furthermore grooves are below the label where the tubes can be wrapped around and thus avoid obstructing the labels. The arch design of the bag makes them [easily stackable](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/maria-olhovnikova), and the concave surface of the bag makes them easy to grip. Lastly a low cost temperature sensor is attached to the blood bag to ensure it remains fresh during transportation.
