Latvian site Writer.is has a text typing effect that shows you blog posts one letter at a time, so it's like you're seeing the text being typed live. Anyone can use the [journal-based blogging platform](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blogstaticio) by signing up and creating a profile. After you choose a title and background photo, you are ready to go. The blogging platform encourages users to update on a daily basis with [short diary-like posts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/journalizr-app). People interested in reading your content see your journal in a separate page. Each letter appears individually -- just as the writer originally typed it. This engaging effect adds suspense. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.3/10 - Popularity: 9% | Activity: 23% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Pop Culture](https://www.trendhunter.com/popculture) > [Internet](https://www.trendhunter.com/internet) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Real-time Storytelling:** Exploring opportunities to add suspense and engagement through real-time storytelling in various content platforms such as blogs, social media, and e-books. - **Interactive Writing:** Interactive writing features that allow readers to engage and follow the writer's creative process in real-time, thus creating a more authentic and immersive reading experience. - **Visual Effects in Writing:** Innovative text effects that can create more engagement and captivate readers in e-books, blogs, and other written media. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Publishing:** Publishing companies can explore new ways to add interactivity to e-books and online reading platforms, potentially disrupting the traditional book publishing industry. - **Social Media:** Social media platforms can incorporate real-time storytelling features that can create more engagement and user-generated content, potentially disrupting the traditional publishing industry. - **Blogging:** Blogging platforms can incorporate visual effects and real-time storytelling features to create an immersive and authentic reading experience, potentially disrupting traditional media channels like newspapers and magazines. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Real-Time Publishing Platforms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/note-to-draft.md) - [Creative Texting Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/texttheinternet.md) - [Markdown Blogging Platforms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/writesync.md) - [Private Writing Platforms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/writerr.md) - [Developer Microblog Platforms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nextscribe.md) - [Gamified Typing Trainers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/typenews.md) - [Simple Blogging Platforms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/openblog.md) - [Minimalist Blogging Platforms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pagecord.md) - [Conversational Content Publishing](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/writerry.md)
