# Connectable Culinary Containers These Block Canisters Can Be Linked Up Like LEGO Pieces By Amelia Roblin | Published 2014-03-06 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/block-canister References: [yankodesign](http://www.yankodesign.com/2014/03/05/crazy-fun-canisters/) These Block Canisters make it easier for you to cluster containers on your countertop and in your kitchen cabinets without using valuable space inefficiently. Seungwook Park's concept collection would come with holders in four different heights, enabling you to choose the size best suited to the type of food and the quantity that you plan to stash inside. Cookies, pasta, flour, beans, candy, condiments and more can be kept inside of these [glass vessels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aeris-doublewalled-glassware). Eco-friendly and BPA-free, the containers are proposed in sets of circular and squared profiles with [fitted silicone lids](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/herb-storage-container). The crown of every Block Canister has pronounced ridges that are intended to grip the flat bottom of any jar placed on top of it. You can stack up to three Block Canisters together securely for compact storage in fridges and cupboards. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.3/10 - Popularity: 70% | Activity: 52% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Connectable Containers:** Seungwook Park's concept collection of connectable culinary containers creates a new avenue for kitchen storage solutions. - **Eco-friendly Food Storage:** The proposed glass vessels with fitted silicone lids provide a sustainable option for food storage. - **Customized Container Heights:** Block Canisters' four different heights option allows for a customized solution to food storage needs. ### Who This Affects Most - **Kitchenware:** The Block Canisters serve as an innovation in kitchen storage solutions. - **Eco-friendly Consumer Goods:** The eco-friendly and BPA-free nature of the glass vessels could be an innovation option in the food storage industry. - **Plastics Alternative:** The proposed glass vessels with silicone lids could revolutionize the plastics industry with the introduction of sustainable alternatives. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Modern Magnetic Food Containers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cliik-food-storage-system.md) - [Non-Toxic Glass Containers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glass-airtight-container-set.md) - [Space-Saving Storage Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kossebar.md) - [Traditional Food Preservation Containers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/twist-food-storage-container.md) - [Space-Saving Cookwear](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spacesaving-cookware.md) - [Playful Storage Blocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/berto-hidden-secrets.md) - [Malleable Construction Food Containers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/delione-flexn-fresh-container.md) - [Multi-Functional Food Containers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multifunctional-food-container.md) - [Rotating Food Storage Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/saveit.md)
