However, once you open up the flat surface there are different features that makes this sink like no other. For example, the lower tap is retractable, the flat surface acts as a cutting board and underneath the cutting board, you can install a drainer. The sink comes in glossy glass or for a more chic look, there is the matte black color you can opt for. The Blancoalaros sink allows you to do different tasks in a limited space. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.8/10 - Popularity: 42% | Activity: 63% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 10% men, 90% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Kitchen](https://www.trendhunter.com/kitchen) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Retractable Taps:** The retractable tap feature in the Blancoalaros sink presents an opportunity for disruptive innovation in kitchen plumbing solutions. - **Multifunctional Sink Surfaces:** The flat surface of the Blancoalaros sink acting as a cutting board opens up possibilities for innovative kitchen designs that optimize space and functionality. - **Customizable Drainer Installation:** The option to install a drainer underneath the cutting board in the Blancoalaros sink provides an opportunity for disruptive innovation in sink accessories and organization systems. ### Who This Affects Most - **Kitchen Plumbing:** The retractable tap feature in the Blancoalaros sink presents a disruptive innovation opportunity for kitchen plumbing manufacturers. - **Kitchen Design:** The multifunctional flat surface of the Blancoalaros sink as a cutting board opens up opportunities for disruptive innovation in kitchen design and space optimization. - **Sink Accessories:** The customizable drainer installation option in the Blancoalaros sink offers a potential area for disruptive innovation in sink accessory manufacturers and organization systems. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Reinventive Modern Kitchen Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luxury-kitchen.md) - [Tech-Equipped Kitchen Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luxury-kitchen-sink.md) - [Dual-Use Ceramic Basins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luneup.md) - [Angular Ceramic Sink Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/angle-washbasin.md) - [Slick Bathroom Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/slick-bathroom-sink.md) - [Ultra-Modern Freestanding Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/freestanding-sink.md) - [Illuminated Base Bathroom Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/antoniolupi-albumelux.md) - [All-in-One Countertop Workstations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/countertop-workstation.md) - [Collaborative Seashell-Like Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spire-washbasin.md)
