This strikingly interesting Blade Runner bathroom design by architect Tristan Auer is exactly what fans of sci-fi would expect—an elegant, slightly ominous, and highly [futuristic ambiance](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arnardo-desk) that is accented by the subtle glow of [neon lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glassbrick-apartment). This space was designed as a concept for Axor as part of the brand's 'Distinctive Project "which tasks some of the world's leading architects with creating [highly individual bathrooms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/prefabricated-pods)." The Blade Runner bathroom, for one, is envisioned "to suit [the needs and tastes of an] imagined male client." The resulting space features 80s-inspired elements that are combined with materials and forms to evoke "a masculine feel." Creative initiatives like the Distinctive Project definitely create a challenge for the designers embarking on them but they also testify to how highly specific certain markets have gotten.
