While basic trays allow water to flow over the tops of the pieces, usually to the dismay of entertainers, this product actually encases the cubes. Users of the Brrrr tray fill it up vertically, pouring water through an opening at the top. It is then frozen horizontally, giving way to ice cubes that are shaped in the regular manner. The original opening that is used for the water then doubles as a release trap, sending out the cubes based on how many one desires.
