# Insectitecture The Black Cloud Pavillion Named After Book, Looks Like a Bug By Christina Butty | Published 2009-08-24 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/black-cloud-pavillion References: [dezeen](http://www.dezeen.com/2009/08/21/the-black-cloud-by-heather-and-ivan-morison/) & [morison.info](http://www.morison.info/) Located in Bristol, England and created by artists Heather and Ivan Morison, this temporary pavilion is known as The Black Cloud and is made up of 152 uniquely-shaped timber triangles. Interestingly, The Black Cloud was named after a book by Sir Fred Hoyle about an enormous gas cloud that threatens to end life on earth by blocking out sunlight. I, however, think the Black Cloud looks like a big slug roaming around.
