The router works by connecting devices and will communicate how much data is remaining for the user to access via the candle-inspired antennas. This will help users to only use connectivity as intended to prevent them from spending long periods of time browsing aimlessly. The conceptual 'Bium' WiFi router is also outfitted with a [wireless charging pad](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/muto) on top of it that offers users a dedicated place to put their device to rest between uses to prevent them from mindlessly using it throughout the day. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.3/10 - Popularity: 80% | Activity: 69% | Freshness: 9% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Meditative Networking:** There is an opportunity to develop networking solutions that promote mindfulness and help users strike a balance between connectivity and disconnecting. - **Data Usage Awareness:** Developing routers that communicate data usage in a tangible and visual way can help users be more conscious of their online activities and prevent aimless browsing. - **Multi-functional Connectivity:** Integrating additional features like wireless charging pads into WiFi routers provides users with a convenient and dedicated place to rest their devices. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Technology:** There is a disruptive innovation opportunity in the technology industry to create networking solutions that prioritize mindfulness and balance for users. - **Iot (internet of Things):** The IoT industry can explore the development of WiFi routers with tangible and visual data usage communication to promote conscious online activities. - **Consumer Electronics:** Integrating wireless charging pads into WiFi routers presents a disruptive innovation opportunity for the consumer electronics industry, offering users added convenience and functionality. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sculptural Wifi Routers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/huawei-x3-pro-wifi.md) - [Smartphone Addiction Meditation Lanterns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/digital-detox-device.md) - [Interchangeable Cover Networking Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vibrant-wifi-router.md) - [Smokestack Factory-Inspired Routers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/complex-1.md) - [Digital Detox Smartphone Stations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/humidifier-and-wireless-charger.md) - [Anti-Distraction Meditation Timers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/meditation-timer.md) - [Animalistic Ceramic Smart Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/savannah-smart-products.md) - [Technology Disconnection Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/unhook-table.md) - [Distraction-Free Meditation Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/meditation-clock.md)
