The knife itself is machined out of 8CR13MOV stainless steel that attaches onto a flat handle where it can be freely rotated with the blade kept concealed for safety. This acts as a more compact handle design, while also enabling the accessory to be stowed in a pocket or even a wallet with ease. The Bison Gears Kiridashi pocket knife comes in a wide range of color options for the handle, and can even be affixed onto a keychain thanks to the centralized hole in the base of the knife and handle. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.5/10 - Popularity: 93% | Activity: 86% | Freshness: 16% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Everyday Carry (EDC) Accessories:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop smaller and more compact EDC accessories to cater to consumers who value portability and convenience. - **Machined Stainless Steel Tools:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create durable and versatile tools made of machined stainless steel that are compact and can be easily carried on a daily basis. - **Multi-functional Keychain Accessories:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Design keychain accessories that serve multiple functions, such as combining a pocket knife with other practical tools or features. ### Where This Applies - **Outdoor and Adventure Gear:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop compact and multi-functional tools for outdoor enthusiasts who prioritize lightweight and space-saving gear. - **E-commerce and Online Retail:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create an online platform or marketplace specifically for EDC accessories, targeting consumers looking for compact and functional everyday tools. - **Accessories and Fashion:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Collaborate with fashion brands to design stylish and customizable EDC accessories that can be worn as fashionable accessories while also serving practical purposes. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Micro Keychain EDC Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tinyblade.md) - [EDC Keychain Utility Knives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/titanium-keychain-utility-knife.md) - [Landscape-Honoring Pocket Knives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wesn-ridgeback-microblade.md) - [Featherlight EDC Pocket Knives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/b2-nano-blade.md) - [Minimalist EDC Pocket Knives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-james-brand-the-ellis-slim.md) - [Thumb-Sized Flipper Knives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/berm-keychain-knife.md) - [Shifting Handle EDC Knives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/folding-edc-knife.md) - [Diminutive Everyday Task Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rze-hexedge-microblade.md) - [Micro-Sized EDC Knives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/microblade-pill-xl.md)
