# Hilarious Avian Mash-Ups 'Birds With Arms' is Exactly What the Title Says By Peter Vallas | Published 2011-06-18 | Pop Culture Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/birds-with-arms References: [iywib](http://www.iywib.com/birds_with_arms.php) & [birdswitharms.tumblr](http://birdswitharms.tumblr.com/) Just when I thought that Tumblr sites could not get any more obscure I came across 'Birds With Arms,' which is probably the weirdest and funniest compilation of images I have seen in a while. I don’t know who’s idea it was to put arms on birds but I applaud them for their creativity. The Tumblr site features crows, seagulls, ravens and more, clenching their biceps, playing guitar and even enjoying a ravishing cup of tea. The site is filled with entirely fan-based art. To get featured all you simply have to do is Photoshop some arms on birds. It’s so weird that you have to laugh at it. I wonder what they will come up with next -- perhaps feet on fruit? ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.7/10 - Popularity: 96% | Activity: 97% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Pop Culture](https://www.trendhunter.com/popculture) > [Internet](https://www.trendhunter.com/internet) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Avian-centric Art:** The trend reflects an opportunity for creativity, and humor in pop culture-inspired art forms. - **Photo-manipulation Humor:** Satirical art forms bringing humor and joy to the viewers. - **Online Fan-based Art:** The trend represents a unique platform for artists to showcase their talent and gain recognition from a global audience. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Fine Arts:** In light of the trend, Fine Arts can embrace and depict unusual and creative art-forms which were unexplored earlier - **Social Media:** The trend represents an excellent opportunity to showcase satirical and humorous pop culture-inspired art forms that appeal to a wide audience instantaneously. - **Graphic Design:** The trend represents a unique style of graphic design, involving photo-manipulation and humor, providing a new opportunity for graphic designers to explore innovative art forms. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Bird-Inspired Earbud Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tweettunes.md) - [Pride-Honoring Bird Figurines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pride-birds.md) - [Bird-Shaped USB Flash Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pinge.md) - [AI-Generated Art Challenges](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kfc-x-fiiiiiingers.md) - [Crow Beak-Inspired Tweezers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kuchibashi.md) - [Fictional Brand Collaboration Websites](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brxndai.md) - [Bird-Shaped Food Packagings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bigbilled-bird-food-concept.md) - [Vibrant Bird-Inspired Artful Puzzles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/macar-parrot.md) - [Quirky Spoof Collectibles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fight-teeth.md)
