Created to resemble a standard [bird's nest](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nesting-plan-vi-call-duck) complete with stray brush and eggs, the Birds Nest Bed is available from OGE Architects on a custom order basis. Available in two sizes that can be used either as a [modern day bed](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bedroom-furniture) or a proper sleeping bed, the Birds Nest Bed features a base from wood with [lumber panels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/timber-nest) jaggedly placed along the sides to imitate the haphazard construction one would find in real life. Due to the order-only basis of the Birds Nest Bed, a wide array of customization options are available that extend beyond simple color changes to wood finishes and fabric. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.0/10 - Popularity: 13% | Activity: 10% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Customized Furniture:** The Birds Nest Bed offers a wide array of customization options, reflecting the growing trend of personalized and unique furniture. - **Nature-inspired Design:** The design of the Birds Nest Bed, resembling a bird's nest complete with stray brush and eggs, taps into the trend of bringing elements of nature into interior design. - **Oversized Home Decor:** The availability of the Birds Nest Bed in two sizes, suitable for use as either a modern day bed or a proper sleeping bed, aligns with the trend of oversized home decor pieces that make a bold statement. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture Manufacturing:** The customization options and unique design of the Birds Nest Bed present an opportunity for furniture manufacturers to tap into the growing market for personalized and nature-inspired furniture pieces. - **Interior Design:** The Birds Nest Bed, with its nature-inspired design and unique aesthetic, offers interior designers an opportunity to create eclectic and visually striking spaces. - **Home Decor Retail:** The availability of oversized and unconventional home decor pieces like the Birds Nest Bed presents an opportunity for home decor retailers to cater to consumers seeking statement furniture that reflects their individuality. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Comforting Adaptable Sofa Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/baby-bird-reincarnation-3way-sofa-bed.md) - [Greenery-Surrounding Lush Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nest-house-1.md) - [Interactive Observation Wooden Birdhouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/domik-ptashki.md) - [Home Exterior Nesting Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/numbird.md) - [Futuristic Curved Islandic Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-nest-2.md) - [Elevated Treetop Modern Cabins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/buitenverblijf-nest.md) - [Wooden Minimal Nesting Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nesting-boxes.md) - [Geodesic Dome Dog Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/domehome-dog-bed.md) - [Modern Comfort-Centric Rounded Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/roundish-bed.md)
