# Birdcage Chairs 'Nest Armchairs' From Autoban Design Studio By TrendHead | Published 2009-04-20 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/birdcage-seating-armchair-by-turkish-design-studio-autoban References: [notcot.org](http://www.notcot.org/post/20753/) & [autoban212](http://www.autoban212.com/) These brilliantly romantic Nest Armchairs are designed by the Istanbul-based design studio Autoban. They come in black, wood and white. I love the [birdcage vibe](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/domik-ptashki) of these chairs. You could really nest up in them, sip your tea and read your favorite book while feeling like a nightingale. Autoban designs and develops environments for commercial and residential purposes. The Nest Armchair is a prime example of their love for [mixing traditional and contemporary design cues](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/woven-chair-designs). My favorite is the white one. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.1/10 - Popularity: 61% | Activity: 53% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Romantic Design:** Designing romantic or unconventional pieces of furniture to fill a gap in the market. - **Mixed Design Cues:** Mixing traditional and contemporary design concepts in furniture to appeal to unique customer segments. - **Birdcage Theme:** Creating furniture pieces that incorporate elements like birdcage themes to bring a whimsical touch into modern spaces. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture:** Furniture companies can explore incorporating unique and unconventional design styles to differentiate themselves in a crowded market. - **Interior Design:** Interior design companies can suggest unconventional pieces of furniture to clients to add a unique touch to spaces. - **Home Decor:** Home decor companies can curate a collection of unusual and romantic home accessories to add a touch to glam to everyday homes. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Rope-Like Dynamic Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/caterpillar-lounge.md) - [Avian-Inspired Privacy Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/peacock-chair-concept.md) - [Comforting Adaptable Sofa Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/baby-bird-reincarnation-3way-sofa-bed.md) - [Cozy Flower-Like Armchairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beba-armchair.md) - [Ergonomic Butterfly-Inspired Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wings-chair.md) - [Quirky Postmodern Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-ebba-armchair.md) - [Peaceful Geometric Hanging Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/iko-hanging-chair.md) - [Posh Pet-Friendly Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arch-chair-design.md) - [Versatile Nesting Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cozmo-1.md)
