# Humourous Feline Bird Houses This Bird House is Ironically Painted to Look Like a Cat By M | Published 2014-04-14 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bird-houses References: [etsy](https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/154518160/bird-house-cat?ref=trending_item) & [etsy](https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/shabbywithchic?ref=l2-shopheader-name) If you'd like to see more birds in your backyard this spring, these cat-themed bird houses from [Etsy](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arcade-clock) designer "Shabbywithchic" are a humorous option. When a bird perches on the house's peg, it'll look as though they're about to be gobbled up by an adorably hungry kitty cat. These bird houses are made from high-quality oak and they are creatively painted up with a cute black cat face. With adorable whiskers and a cute little heart nose, this bird house is sure to brighten up your garden. The rectangular house even has little, wooden kitten eats to add to the cuteness factor of this bird house. The hole for the birds to enter the house is ironically the cat's mouth. Every time a little bird goes inside to get some protection from the elements, it'll look like the bird is hopping directly into the cat's little mouth. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.9/10 - Popularity: 17% | Activity: 3% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Humorous Bird Accessories:** Creating bird accessories that add a touch of humor to outdoor spaces. - **Animal-themed Home Decor:** Designing home decor items with animal motifs to add playfulness and charm. - **Customized Garden Accents:** Offering personalized and unique accents for gardens and outdoor spaces. ### Where This Applies - **Home Decor:** The home decor industry can explore adding more animal-themed products to appeal to a wider consumer base. - **Outdoor Living:** Outdoor living brands can incorporate customized and humorous bird accessories to enhance the appeal of gardens and outdoor spaces. - **Handmade Crafts:** Handmade craft businesses can tap into the demand for unique garden accents by creating customized and humorous bird houses. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Home Exterior Nesting Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/numbird.md) - [Birdhouse-Integrated Address Signs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/our-common-house.md) - [Functional Furniture Cat Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/donarturo-cuba-cat-house.md) - [Affordable Minimalist Cat Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/petsy-cat-house.md) - [Kid-Friendly Birdhouse Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kidfriendly-birdhouse-kit.md) - [Dual-Camera Birdhouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/birdfy-nest.md) - [Cat Cafe Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cat-cafe-beds.md) - [Vertical Feline Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cat-tree-house-2.md) - [Hidden Cat Kitchenware](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cute-cat-coffee-cup.md)
