The Bioware Impresso Double Walled Hot Cup has been unveiled by Huhtamaki as a new drinking vessel that aims to enhance the environmental profile of single-use coffee cups. Manufactured in the UK, the cups feature a two-layer construction that features 25% less material than you would find with traditional double and triple-wall cups on the market. This helps to save vital resources, while the interior lining of the cup is made from a plant-based PLA coating to further enhance the sustainable profile of the drinking vessel.
Marketing Manager at Huhtamaki UK Becci Eplett spoke on the new Bioware Impresso Double Walled Hot Cup saying, "Our new ‘feel good’ Impresso cup offers the perfect solution for an operator to deliver an excellent drinking experience as well as a product that is made from PEFC paperboard, with a plant-based PLA lining that is certified compostable. By combining Huhtamaki’s packaging knowledge and the renewable, recyclable and compostable material base that we utilise, we are able to cater to a variety of needs for environmentally optimal packaging, manufactured right here in the UK."
