The 'Cultivator' is a concept for a futuristic device that would allow consumer to make their own bioprinted meat. With growing debate over the nutritional and environmental impact of meat consumption, the Cultivator could provide consumers with a new way to get their meat.

The meat-making device was developed by German design students Sarah Mautsch and Aaron Abentheuer. The two students hypothesized that meat will gradually become a less significant part of our diet. As our meat consumption dwindles, the Cultivator will provide a simple source for consuming meat in moderation. The device would use solar power and would produce small quantities of bioprinted meat. This meat would likely not come in the kind of forms we are used to, but as arbitrary shapes such as cubes or rectangles.

While the Cultivator is currently just a concept design, the device does showcase how [3D printing](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loop-concept) may impact future food production.
