The Bionic Insect Bus was a design that was issued into a competition for [Michelin](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/electric-lunar-rover). The design takes the standard and often boring bus image and puts it into warp drive towards the future.

Where did it come from (did you read the title)? This [eco-bus](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/higer-new-v) is inspired by some of the smallest lifeforms that we see from day to day: insects. The bus features 8-separated wheels all running on an in-wheel electric engine. There are [solar panels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-solaris) on the top of the bus and doors that open like butterfly wings.

It’s a bulky beast with a whole lot of bug beauty.
