Implications - This new type of eye implant is able to restore vision to those who have gone completely blind. The technology is not fully ready to be used on the public, although it has been tested on a few people. In 2005, a man who had been blind for 50 years regained his sight after having these eye implants. This new technology is just one step closer to helping those who are permanently blind. It would be an amazing miracle if one day blindness did not exist.
