Bread bags are necessary to transport baked goods home safely from the store, but as a perishable product, these sleeves are tossed out rather quickly after use. The NatureFlex material is sustainable and [compostable](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/compostable-packaging-concept), available in the forms of [wrappers, bags and pouches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/date-energy-bars). On top of this, the material does not need to be treated with any additional mold inhibitors, and naturally blocks out oils, gases and other unwanted aromas from baked goods. Since InnoviaFilms realizes more consumers are looking for more natural products, it's ideal for products that do have shorter shelf lives and are not loaded with artificial preservatives. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.1/10 - Popularity: 64% | Activity: 82% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Biodegradable Packaging:** The demand for biodegradable packaging materials is rising, creating opportunities for companies like InnoviaFilms to develop sustainable and compostable alternatives. - **Natural Food Preservation:** The use of materials like NatureFlex that naturally block out oils, gases, and unwanted aromas from food products presents disruptive innovation opportunities in the area of natural food preservation. - **Sustainable Consumer Products:** The growing consumer preference for natural products without artificial preservatives is driving the need for sustainable packaging solutions, opening up opportunities for companies to create eco-friendly products like the biodegradable bread bags. ### Who This Affects Most - **Food Packaging:** The food packaging industry can benefit from adopting biodegradable packaging materials like NatureFlex to meet the increasing demand for sustainable and eco-friendly options. - **Bakery & Biscuit:** The bakery and biscuit industry can explore the use of biodegradable bags and wrappers like NatureFlex to enhance the freshness and shelf life of their products without relying on artificial preservatives. - **Environmentally Friendly Products:** Industries focused on producing environmentally friendly consumer goods can tap into the market for biodegradable packaging solutions like the NatureFlex bags and pouches to meet consumer demands for sustainable products. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Recyclable Bread Bag Clips](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cardboard-bread-bag-clips.md) - [Compostable Film Packaging](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vikings-goddesses-pie-company.md) - [Paper-Packaged Garlic Baguettes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/marks-spencer-1.md) - [Compostable Drawstring Bags](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/compostable-drawstring-bags.md) - [Biodegradable Cheese Packagings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/selfpacking-cheese.md) - [Bio-Based Paper Packaging](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paper-food-packaging.md) - [Fully Compostable Packaging](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/compostable-seed-packaging.md) - [Recyclable Butter Wrapper Packaging](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/recyclable-paper-butter-wrap.md) - [Plant-Based Cooking Films](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/banana-pack.md)
