'Bill Nye Saves the World' is a new series set to debut on [Netflix](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plankton-the-movie) in late April. Unlike his previous series, 'Bill Nye the Science Guy,' which was geared toward educating children, the celebrity scientists' new entertainment endeavor is geared toward adults, with topics ranging from sex to GMOs to alternative medicine.

Though 'Bill Nye the Science Guy' was an immensely popular show among children in the late 90s, Nye's own influence was limited to that young demographic. Those kids who watched the PBS program are now adults, though, and their nostalgic adulation for Nye has given him a ripe and powerful audience share. 'Bill Nye Saves the World' thus features many current celebrities, including Karlie Kloss, Steve Aoki, Hunter Pence, Zach Braff, Joel McHale, and others.
