The beautiful storage system is accented with eye-pleasing hardwood that hides a secure aluminum-bodied frame with a built-in door-locking mechanism. Overtop of the bike locker -- which more closely resembles a quaint country shed in appearance when not in use -- is a [green space rooftop](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/treevive) that can be covered in grass or flowers. This element provides an area for garden growth without sacrificing any space. The locker measures a meter in width and can fit two or more adult-sized bicycles depending on one's preferences. A small rack can also be installed inside the unit, providing a perfect place for storing helmets and any other additional bike accessories. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.2/10 - Popularity: 85% | Activity: 64% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Green Bike Storage:** Combining bike storage with green space rooftops creates a trend of eco-friendly and functional outdoor structures. - **Multi-functional Lockers:** Incorporating additional storage or features such as a built-in rack provides a trend of versatile and customizable locker units. - **Security and Style:** The trend of secure, yet stylish bike lockers is emerging with the use of hardwood accents and aluminum bodies. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Urban Design and Architecture:** Incorporating green space into urban design and architecture creates a market opportunity for architects and landscape designers. - **Bicycle Manufacturing:** Developing secure and customizable bike lockers creates a market opportunity for bicycle manufacturers seeking to expand their product offerings. - **Commercial Real Estate:** Providing bike storage for tenants and employees in commercial real estate properties creates a value-add for property owners and managers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Architectural Midcentury Bike Racks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/draken-bicycle-stand.md) - [Discreet Connected Bike Locks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/laas-olock.md) - [Foldable Flatpack Bike Racks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ahha-toaster-bike-rack.md) - [Bike-Friendly Outdoor Benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pinajarro-bench.md) - [Stylish Space-Saving Exercise Bikes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/theo-exercise-bike.md) - [Modular Bike Racks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sonder-x-skarper.md) - [Three-in-One Bike Locks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multifunctional-bike-lock.md) - [Hidden Seat Bike Locks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lockinvisible.md) - [Collapsible Ultra-Secure Bike Locks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/folding-lock.md)
