The 'Astra' projects a solid beam of concentrated light that is both bright and friendly to oncoming traffic as it helps to reduce glare. The sculptural aesthetic of the light offers illumination in front and to the sides to help riders [stay visible](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/radian-wingman) and stay aware of the area around them as they ride. The 'Astra' bike lamp was designed by Kaiser Chang and operates on the power provides from two AA batteries. Although conceptual at present, the good looks and enhanced capabilities of the 'Astra' make it a light that cyclists would surely appreciate. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.0/10 - Popularity: 78% | Activity: 63% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Glare-reducing Bicycle Lights:** The 'Astra' Bike Lamp Offers Enhanced Illumination for Cyclists - **Sculptural Aesthetics in Bike Lights:** The 'Astra' Offers a Beautiful, Functional Design for Cyclists - **Enhanced Visibility and Safety for Cyclists:** The 'Astra' Provides Bright Illumination and 360-degree Visibility ### Sectors Adopting This - **Bicycle Accessories:** The 'Astra' Presents an Innovative Bike Light Option for Cyclists - **Outdoor Sports Equipment:** The 'Astra' Offers Enhanced Safety Features for Outdoor Enthusiasts - **Design and Aesthetics:** The 'Astra' Demonstrates the Fusion of Functionality and Style in Product Design ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Omnidirectional Bike Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vis-lightpool-taillight.md) - [Tech-Enhanced Safety Bike Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rear-bike-light.md) - [Featherweight Bicycle Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/featherweight-bicycle-lights.md) - [Illuminated Cycling Helmets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/illuminated-cycling-helmet.md) - [Style-Conscious Cyclist Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/town-mouse-center-light.md) - [Synced Bike Light Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bike-light-system.md) - [Space-Saving Cyclist Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rydesafe-headtube-bike-light.md) - [Cyclist Safety Light Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bike-safety-device.md) - [Ergonomic Urbanite Bike Helmets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lumos-nyxel.md)
