Pinel et Pinel, a French design house, has created a bike in a box. It's a folding Brompton M6R bike that fits into a custom designed trunk. The P&P site describes, "Trunk in wood covered with leather. 51 colours can be associated. Hard-ware in nickel-plated brass. The trunk is delivered with a folding bike by Brompton type M6R available in about 10 colors."
Implications - Many consumers today are preoccupied with discovering new ways to integrate efficiency and convenience into their lives. Whether individuals are looking to minimize the space they occupy, the time they waste or the money they lose, the market is growing for products that can generate a sense of relief for such challenges. Everyday items that can be stored or used in more effective and hassle-free ways will appeal a wide clientele.
