These [luminescent frames](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/razer-phantom-collection) are the coolest accessories a kid would want on their bike. At night, the frames light up in multi-colored lighting that would be a [safety feature](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/guardian-bikes) and cool design. Most parents would love to have this on their kid's bikes for safety reasons anyway, so it makes a real difference on your ride. The bike designer Ken Spaulding used polycarbonate fitted with LEDs to build the initial frame during the prototype. This frame was then added as an attachment to an ordinary bike that can be controlled to turn the lighting on or off. These bike frames are perfect for all children who want to upgrade their ride. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.0/10 - Popularity: 3% | Activity: 18% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Luminescent Bike Frames:** Luminescent bike frames that light up in multi-colored lighting offer a combination of safety and style for kids. - **Kid Accessories:** Bike frames with unique designs and cool features such as luminescent lighting are becoming popular accessories for kids' bikes. - **Smart Bike Attachments:** Attachments like luminescent bike frames that can be controlled to turn the lighting on or off are part of the growing trend of smart bike accessories. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Bicycle Manufacturing:** Bicycle manufacturers can explore incorporating luminescent bike frames into their product lines to attract more customers, especially in the children's bike segment. - **Outdoor Recreation:** Companies in the outdoor recreation industry can leverage the trend of luminescent bike frames to create innovative bike accessories for kids, enhancing their outdoor experience. - **Child Safety Products:** Manufacturers of child safety products can consider developing luminescent bike frames as a safety feature for kids' bikes, offering parents peace of mind during evening rides. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Synced Bike Light Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bike-light-system.md) - [Illuminated Bike Helmets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lightweight.md) - [Color-Changing Clipless Pedals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clipless-pedals.md) - [Featherweight Bicycle Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/featherweight-bicycle-lights.md) - [Award-Winning High-Performance Bike Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/highperformance-bike-light.md) - [Tech-Enhanced Safety Bike Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rear-bike-light.md) - [Illuminated Cycling Helmets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/illuminated-cycling-helmet.md) - [Semi-Transparent Electric Bikes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dab-1-transparent-edition.md) - [Safety-Focused Kid's Bikes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/guardian-bikes.md)
