Using [salvaged chains from old pedal vehicles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vintage-chain-shop) SpokenStitch creates polished metal stars. They can be hung from the rear view mirror of your car, on your wall next to a treasured plaque of your two-wheeler's handlebars or on your [Christmas tree during the holidays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spicy-chicken-sandwich-ornament). A shiny festive ribbon accompanies each bike chain star ornament. They are packaged in [handmade wrapping paper](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paper-christmas-ornament). The metal trinkets would be a nice token to gift to a friend who absolutely adores feeling the wind rush through their hair as they pedal on their machine or someone who recently lost a dear two-wheeler to an unfortunate accident. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.6/10 - Popularity: 79% | Activity: 80% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Upcycling:** Opportunity for businesses to repurpose salvaged materials and create unique products like the Bike Chain Star Ornament. - **Sustainable Decor:** Rising demand for eco-friendly and aesthetically pleasing decorations presents a disruptive innovation opportunity for businesses. - **Personalized Gifts:** Customizable ornaments like the bike chain star provide businesses an opportunity to tap into the growing market for personalized gifts. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Home Decor:** The upcycled bike chain ornament showcases an opportunity for businesses in the home decor industry to incorporate sustainable and unique pieces into their product lines. - **Eco-friendly Retail:** Businesses focusing on sustainable products and materials can benefit from the demand for eco-friendly decorations and gifts. - **Gift and Souvenir:** This article highlights how personalized and unique ornaments can provide businesses in the gift and souvenir industry with innovative products for their customers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sparkling Illuminated Festive Wreaths](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/starry-wreath.md) - [Collectible EDC Christmas Ornaments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-james-brand-throwflake.md) - [Abandoned Bikes-Turned Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/objects-from-frames.md) - [DIY Embroidery Ornaments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diy-stitched-ornament-kits.md) - [Recycled Coffee Pod-Made Bicycles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/recycle.md) - [Customizable Holiday Decorations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/merry-sparkles-outdoor-decor.md) - [Novelty Supermarket Ornaments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aldis-novelty-baubles.md) - [Complimentary Fried Chicken Ornaments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fried-chicken-ornament.md) - [Playful Tarp Charm Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lucky-trucking.md)
