The [glamping hotel](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/indoor-camping-experience) is housed within a 1982 West Midlands metro bus that has been fully updated to provide accommodations for up to six guests at a time. A bathroom, kitchen, living space and even a wood-burning stove have been incorporated into the design to make it a very comfortable way to camp in the area. The Big Green Bus also doesn't have WiFi or TV, which is part of the experience given that it's intended as an escape for those looking to get away from the daily grind. The exterior space offers a second shower, a fire pit, wrap around deck and even a [wood-fire hot tub](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/elphabas-retreat-airbnb). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.9/10 - Popularity: 70% | Activity: 68% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [World](https://www.trendhunter.com/world) > [Travel](https://www.trendhunter.com/travel) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Glamping Accommodations:** The rise in demand for unorthodox vacation experiences creates opportunities for unique glamping accommodations like converted buses. - **Eco-friendly Lodging:** The conversion of old vehicles into accommodations, such as the Big Green Bus, presents disruptive innovation opportunities for eco-friendly and sustainable lodging options. - **Escape From Technology:** The lack of WiFi and TV in the Big Green Bus adds to the appeal for those looking to disconnect and enjoy an escape from the daily grind. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Hospitality:** The hospitality industry can explore and capitalize on the trend of providing glamping accommodations, like converted buses, to cater to unique vacation experiences. - **Sustainable Tourism:** The sustainable tourism industry can embrace the conversion of old vehicles into eco-friendly lodging options, such as the Big Green Bus, to offer travelers environmentally conscious alternatives. - **Wellness Retreats:** Wellness retreats and relaxation centers can incorporate the concept of technology-free escapes, like the Big Green Bus, to attract individuals seeking a break from digital distractions. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Compact Fully-Functioning Camp Vehicles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/busbox.md) - [Transforming Off-Grid Camper Vans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vanspeed-evergreen-dream-2.md) - [Hotel Room Vehicle Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mercedes-x-belmond-vision-pullman-express.md) - [Baby Boomer Glampsites](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/baby-boomer-glampsites.md) - [Concept-Inspired Camper Vans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/offroad-camper-van.md) - [Ruggedly Luxurious Camper Vans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luxurious-camper-van.md) - [Glamorous Camping Experiences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lulu-glamping.md) - [Duplex-Style Camper Vans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alphavan-off-grid-4x4.md) - [Curvaceously Classy Campervans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luxurious-campervan.md)
