The Singapore division of Big Dog Pet Foods has recently launched its 'Wellbeing' line of raw pet foods. The 'Wellbeing Raw Diet for Weight Loss and Healthy Ageing' food is low-fat and designed for overweight, unhealthy, or elderly dogs. The Wellbeing line has a unique recipe that incorporates lean meat, crushed bone, [nutrient-dense fruits, vegetables and herbs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/whole-food-mixer), and other ingredients rich in minerals. The fruits and vegetables vary with the season but involve products from zucchini to tomato. One ingredient in the Wellbeing recipe that is noteworthy is its use of fermented yeast. Fermented yeast is used in combination with rooibos kombucha and organic fulvic acid to create a balanced diet for dogs. Due to the Wellbeing line being marketed at aging or overweight dogs, it is important to ensure that these dogs receive [species-specific health supplements](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gutwell), rather than simply consuming protein-dense foods. While protein-dense dog foods consisting of 100% real meats are beneficial for dog growth and health, the Wellbeing line from Big Dog Pet Foods takes a different approach whereby it focuses on maintaining and recovering the health of a dog, rather than fostering the dog's growth.
