# Floating Travelling Saunas Sandellsandberg Designs the Big Branzino on a Steel Catamaran By Amy Duong | Published 2022-12-12 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/big-branzino References: [dezeen](https://www.dezeen.com/2022/12/11/sandellsandberg-big-branzino-floating-sauna/) Swedish design studio Sandellsandberg designs the new Big Branzino, completing the [floating sauna](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/floating-river-cabin) that is made to drift along the Stockholm archipelago. It rests on top of a steel catamaran hull with a [timber structure](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jonas-sauna) that covers a [central glazed sauna room](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-luminar). It is minimally designed to blend into the nature background that it floats along. Architect Johan Strandlund states that "It can travel freely at its captain's discretion, from a few hours of sauna with a view to adventurous, long trips. When it was delivered from the shipyard to the client it was a two-day trip, [which] allowed us to discover the range of its experience. Other than the sauna, the fireplace provides warmth for overnight trips," Image Credit: Sandellsandberg ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.6/10 - Popularity: 70% | Activity: 25% | Freshness: 13% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Floating Sauna Cruise:** Companies can design and offer luxurious sauna-equipped floating catamarans for an outdoor sauna experience with a view. - **Mobile Sauna Rentals:** Entrepreneurs can provide mobile sauna rentals on catamarans to customers who want to cruise in comfort while enjoying a sauna experience. - **Eco-friendly Floating Spaces:** Design firms can create sustainable and eco-friendly floating structures that blend with natural landscapes, such as a floating sauna on a steel catamaran hull. ### Where This Applies - **Hospitality:** The hospitality industry can incorporate floating saunas in their offerings, providing guests with a unique experience while cruising along scenic waterways. - **Entertainment:** Entertainment companies can rent out floating saunas as a unique experience for parties, events or marketing activations. - **Construction:** Construction firms can specialize in building floating structures for both residential and commercial properties, such as a floating sauna on a steel catamaran hull. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Reflection-Inducing Floating Saunas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/trosten-floating-sauna.md) - [Shipping Container Floating Saunas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fjord-floating-sauna.md) - [Floating Sauna Pavilions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/watercave.md) - [Modern Mobile Sauna Cabins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aquila-sauna.md) - [Mobile Sauna Trailers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-aquila.md) - [View-Overlooking Portable Wooden Saunas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/saunabivak.md) - [Communal Wooden Peninsula Saunas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hotspot.md) - [Compact Mobile Sauna Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tiny-sauna-house.md) - [Timber Sauna Structures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jonas-sauna.md)
