Developed by German innovator Thomas Schmidt, the Under Cover bicycle umbrella is designed much like a body suit, but what makes it so easy to use is the fact that it is mounted on the tube of the rider's bicycle, but the rider also has to stick their head through the collar. By being comfortably attached to both bicycle and rider, the Under Cover bicycle umbrella offers maximum protection from the rain without meddling with rider's flexibility while peddling, making it an excellent option for all-weather [urban cyclists](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lumos-nyxel). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.3/10 - Popularity: 11% | Activity: 50% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Integrated Bicycle Umbrellas:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Creating innovative designs and mounting options for integrated bicycle umbrellas. - **All-weather Cyclists:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Developing new products and technologies to protect cyclists from different weather conditions. - **Intelligent Bike Accessories:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Designing intelligent bike accessories that enhance safety and comfort for cyclists. ### Where This Applies - **Cycling Accessories:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Creating and marketing innovative accessories specifically designed for cyclists. - **Outdoor Gear:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Introducing new outdoor gear that caters to the needs of active individuals in all weather conditions. - **Transportation:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Integrating innovative technologies into transportation to improve safety and comfort for cyclists. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Flying Umbrella Prototypes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flying-umbrella.md) - [Rainproof Wheelchair Shells](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mobidry.md) - [Ruggedized Rollable Bicycle Mudguards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bicycle-mudguard.md) - [All-Weather Protection Umbrellas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/weatherman-trek-umbrella.md) - [Car Roof Luggage Holder](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/car-storage.md) - [Two-People Umbrella Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shed-rain.md) - [Sweat-Blocking Cyclist Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rockbros-bike-sweat-guard.md) - [Enclosed Mobility Scooter Canopies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/scooterpac-canopy.md) - [Quad-Purpose Cycling Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cycling-devices.md)
