Bicibuscadores, currently in beta and created by Ilustrada Hermandad de Diseñadores, is a site that allows people to report their [stolen bikes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/Findmykids-App), essentially warning other [cyclists in the neighborhood](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/thecyclingcollective) and around Malaga. The stie is map-based, so users can select the area where they last saw their bikes to serve as a warning to others. Users can also upload a photo of their bike and any necessary details; in the case that someone sees the missing bicycle, it can be returned to its owner. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.4/10 - Popularity: 15% | Activity: 20% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Business](https://www.trendhunter.com/business) > [New Ventures](https://www.trendhunter.com/newventures) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Community-based Stolen Bike Reporting:** The trend of community-based stolen bike reporting creates an opportunity for businesses to develop platforms for victims of bike theft to report their stolen bikes and spread the word to others in the community. - **Map-based Alert Systems:** The trend of creating map-based alert systems for stolen bikes allows for businesses to create innovative solutions that allow users to pin their stolen bike locations on a map for others to see and be alerted of potential theft risks. - **Online Bike Safety Communities:** The trend of online bike safety communities provides an opportunity for businesses to create digital communities where cyclists can share advice, best practices, and report their stolen bikes to help protect each other's property. ### Where This Applies - **Tech Industry:** The tech industry can capitalize on these trends by creating innovative online platforms or mobile apps that allow cyclists to report stolen bikes, notify others of potential theft risks, and share advice on bike safety. - **Insurance Industry:** The insurance industry can develop new revenue streams by partnering with companies that offer stolen bike alert systems, providing product liability insurance to manufacturers, or creating policies aimed at protecting bicycle owners from theft. - **Transportation Industry:** The transportation industry can leverage these trends by developing value-added services for bike-sharing programs or launching affordable, GPS-enabled bicycles equipped with anti-theft mechanisms for its users. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Biking Community Platforms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/weekendtrails.md) - [Tracker-Friendly Bicycle Bells](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/airbell.md) - [Real-Time Monitoring Bike Locks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/elios-crossover-lock.md) - [Discreet Connected Bike Locks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/laas-olock.md) - [Anti-Stalking App Features](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tile.md) - [Anti-Theft eBike Features](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bosch-battery-lock.md) - [Bike-Friendly Outdoor Benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pinajarro-bench.md) - [Community Borrowing Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/community-borrowing-apps.md) - [Smart Bike Docking Stations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-bike-docking-station.md)
