The Sketch Coasters come in a set of silicon coasters that prevent burn marks and condensation from cooler drinks as well. The set includes four different designs of [mug drawings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pixelmug). The black rubber mats are best left hanging when not in use. The beverage coaster design is a playful take on the function of a coaster. While the product is ideal for coffee and tea drinkers, the small protectors would also work for hot bowls, small pans or [cool glasses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aeris-doublewalled-glassware). When combined, the set could also be placed underneath larger pots or very warm plates. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.0/10 - Popularity: 6% | Activity: 16% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Food](https://www.trendhunter.com/food) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Playful Coaster Designs:** The literal mug coasters offer a playful twist on traditional coaster designs. - **Multi-functional Protection:** The coaster set can be used to protect not only beverage mugs but also hot bowls, pans, glasses, pots, and plates. - **Creative Home Accessories:** The unique coaster designs add an element of creativity and style to any home decor. ### Where This Applies - **Home Decor:** The coaster designs can be a disruptive innovation in the home decor industry, offering a unique and functional accessory for customers. - **Kitchenware:** The coaster set provides a new and versatile option for protecting kitchen items, such as bowls, pans, and plates, creating opportunities for innovation in the kitchenware industry. - **Gifts and Souvenirs:** The literal mug coasters can be a memorable and fun gift or souvenir option, potentially disrupting the gifts and souvenirs industry with their playful and functional nature. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Aquatic Beverage Coasters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crab-inspired-coasters.md) - [Barbie-Inspired Coaster Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/barbieinspired-coaster-set.md) - [Warm-Toned Marble Coasters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lusine-coasters.md) - [Cork Coaster-Integrated Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/polka-coffee-table.md) - [Turntable-Inspired Coaster Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/needledrop-coaster-set.md) - [Playable Beer Coasters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/budweiser-campaign.md) - [Insulated Drink Holders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/puffin-drinkware.md) - [Uniquely Shaped Drinkware](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/heart-doublewall-latte-mugs.md) - [Augmented Reality Kitchenware](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/long-distance-message-mug-coaster.md)
