The module is essentially a 'second-storey' slide-in and slide-out bedroom that is slipped into the back of the van while still leaving enough room for cargo below. This design makes the Bett Mobil a fully fledged camper, while sill enabling the owner to use the vehicle as a regular van. What's unique about the Bett Mobil's slide-out is that it adds interior room whilst still maintaining the size and shape of [regular Volkswagen camper vans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/volkswagen-2025-grand-california). The original installation of modules is performed by Bett Mobil; however, owners can then remove and reinstall their modules as desired on their own. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.1/10 - Popularity: 86% | Activity: 58% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Autos](https://www.trendhunter.com/autos) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Modular Camper Vans:** The trend of modular camper vans allows for the conversion of regular vans into versatile camper vans, providing opportunities for innovative designs and customization options. - **Slide-out Modules:** The trend of slide-out modules in camper vans provides additional interior space and functionality, creating opportunities for innovative and space-saving designs. - **DIY Camper Van Conversions:** The trend of DIY camper van conversions empowers owners to personalize and modify their vehicles, opening up opportunities for innovative products and services that cater to this market. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Automotive:** The automotive industry can explore disruptive innovation opportunities by developing and manufacturing modular camper van components and systems. - **Recreational Vehicles:** The recreational vehicles industry can capitalize on the trend of slide-out modules by creating innovative camper van designs that provide additional living space and functionality. - **Home Improvement:** The home improvement industry can tap into the trend of DIY camper van conversions by offering specialized products and services for customizing and enhancing living modules in camper vans. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Modular Slide-In Truck Campers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/four-wheel-campers.md) - [Compact Fully-Functioning Camp Vehicles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/busbox.md) - [Compact Electric Campers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/electric-camper.md) - [Transforming Weekend Camper Vans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beauer-xvan.md) - [Towable Modern Storage Campers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bbox-bulli-edition.md) - [Masterfully Modular Camping Trailers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-camping-trailer.md) - [Modular Tech-Packed Camper Vans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/outside-van-overnight.md) - [Panoramic Roof Camper Vans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spacecamper-multivan-classic.md) - [Cubic Convertible Camping Vans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/adria-mode.md)
